This podcast is a reflection on last week’s episode with Jacqui Lewis. I explore two ideas Jacqui and I spoke about:

1. That we should be building our work around the life we want to live (and not the other way around).

As we grow up we are always asked what do we want to be? What do we want to do? But we are rarely asked about the kind of life we want to live.

Part of the Good Work Revolution is about asking ourself this question. We can't just do work for the sake of others and forget about ourselves.

2. That there are some kinds of success that actually do not serve us.

It is easy to find ourselves on a path where we are experiencing success - but success defined by what and who? If we are to think about what we really want in life - is it really success? It can be incredibly difficult to walk away from the kinds of success society tells us we should strive for and reach for our own version of success.

Both Jacquie's journey and my own have examples of both these points in them.  I share some of my own stories, as well as some thoughts on how you might explore this for yourself.

The Good Work Revolution Podcast is for people who are creating businesses, shaping new careers, building social enterprises. Who are creating new ways of working, embracing a multi-passionate work life, working their way, exploring entrepreneurship, changing organisations for the better and so much more.

My guest today is Jacqui Lewis - one half of The Broad Place, a school for consciousness, clarity and creativity which teaches 4 part live courses in vedic meditation, workplace programs, sells ayurvedic products and so much more.

Jacqui - a Master Meditation teacher - specialises in taking regular, stressed, under the pump people and shifting them through accessible tools and practices so that they become more creative, grounded, healthier and happier. She takes ancient knowledge and makes it easy to understand and easy to employ in our modern day lives.

Departing from an acclaimed Australian creative communications agency she co-founded with her husband, and going through her own transformative journey to good work - Jacqui brings into The Broad Place an energy and personal understanding of the demands of business, family and being engaged in a high energy world.

She is an educator, facilitator and speaker on clarity and high grade living, teaching Vedic Meditation worldwide.

Join me and Jacqui as we explore themes such as living creatively in a multitasking world, spirituality at warped speed, moving on from work that does not serve us, creating work to align with the life we want, transitioning through careers and high grade living.

If you'd like to find Jacqui, you can do so at www.thebroadplace.com.au
